Founding Member Bill Wier - Passes On
All at the Yankee Air Museum were saddened at the loss of Bill Wier on October 11, 2006.  Having spent 35 years in commercial aviation, Bill was one of the museums founding members as well as a current board member.  He will be particularly missed by those of us on the Electrical Crew where he spent most of his time (see Pictures)

2006 Flying Season Finished - We Need Your Pictures!
The museums warbirds traveled the country again this season - and we'd love to see pictures of our birds out there around the country!!

If you have any pictures of our B-17, B-25, or C-47 at an airshow outside of Michigan please send them to us at the email address above so that we can post them here for all to see!  Thanks

C-47 Fabric Covering Class

B-17 'Yankee Lady' Large Photographs & Prints
There have been various requests for larger & printable quality pictures particularly of "Yankee Lady".  There are numerous shots available that are taken at 8MB resolution.  These shots make excellent photo prints even up to 24x36"!   The full size files of each are available upon request, which can then be taken to your local store for digital printing.  Simply contact the email above with the shot numbers you want.  Check out the Large Prints and the rest of the B-17 pictures

B-17 & B-25 Guests Flights & Rides!
FLight EXperiences (FLEX Rides) are scheduled on Wednesday evenings from April thru October, Departing from the Yankee Air Museum at Willow Run Airport (YIP).  Reservations are required and each seat is $400.00. Click 'More' for info!
